Buyer information & website terms
General education only. Shed Smart's website, checklist and guide provide general information for Australian shed buyers. They are not legal, financial, engineering, surveying, planning or building advice for your specific project. We do not supply building or approval services through this website.
Confirm your project requirements. Approvals, classifications, setbacks, engineering, ground conditions, drainage, contracts and payment rules vary by location, site, use and date. Victorian examples are not rules for every Australian state or territory. Before committing to a purchase or construction, confirm requirements with your council, relevant building professional and appropriately qualified advisers. Do not treat this material as approval to build or live in a shed.
Quotes and results. Worked examples are illustrative, not current supplier offers. No particular saving, quote outcome, permit approval or construction result is guaranteed. Check all dimensions, exclusions, allowances, responsibilities and payment terms against your actual written agreement.
Use of the material. You may download, print and annotate the free checklist for your own shed project and share it with your household and professionals assisting that project. You may not sell it, claim authorship or upload it for public redistribution without permission. These terms do not limit uses otherwise permitted by law.
Availability and links. External links and resources are provided for convenience; their operators control their content. Check that you are using current official guidance. The full paid guide is not yet available on this page. Joining the list is free, creates no purchase obligation and does not reserve a price or release date.
Your consumer rights. Nothing in this website, the checklist or these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights. Contact Shed Smart about an inaccurate description, inaccessible file or other concern. Product price, delivery details and purchase terms will be shown at checkout when sales open.

Privacy, consent & unsubscribe
Who handles your information. This notice explains how Shed Smart handles your information. For privacy enquiries, access, correction, withdrawal of consent or complaints, contact @shed_smart on Instagram. A dedicated email contact will be added when confirmed.
What we collect. When you request the checklist, we store your email address, request time, source and whether you opted in to marketing. For marketing signups, we also store the consent wording/version and a private unsubscribe token. Ownership of the email address is not verified by this form. Please provide only your own address. Your email is required to unlock the checklist; the launch-news checkbox is optional.
How we use it. We use your email to record and provide access to the requested checklist. Only if you tick the optional consent checkbox will we add you to the launch list and send Shed Smart launch news and buying tips. We do not publish the list or sell personal information. Records may be processed by hosting providers and, once connected, a mailing provider only for operating the website and managing these communications.
Hosting and security. The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare-hosted storage. Providers may process information outside Australia; we have not confirmed a single country of storage. We restrict access to the list and export to the site owner's authenticated account. Hashed network identifiers may be stored to limit repeated submissions. We do not add advertising pixels or analytics trackers to this page; hosting providers may use operational logs and security cookies.
Retention and your choices. Download-request records and opted-in signup records are retained subject to periodic review. You can ask us to delete a download-request record. Marketing signup records are kept while you remain on the list. Use the private unsubscribe link shown after your first signup to remove your record now, or contact us for help. You can also request access, correction or deletion of your information. We may need to verify that a request relates to your address. Information required by law or for resolving a complaint may be retained separately where appropriate.
Marketing emails. No automated emails are being sent yet. Before launch emails are sent, the sender will be identified with contact details and each marketing email will include an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribe requests will be honoured within five working days. The mailing provider's relevant privacy information will be added when selected.
Complaints and updates. Contact us first so we can investigate and respond. Where applicable, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We will update this notice when our practices, providers or seller details change. Updated: 7 October 2026.
